Unable to online the FS-108D-POE with FG-60F

Hi sir,

I'm trying to setup my home network with FG-60F and FS-108D-POE, but even the switch has detected and authorized, the switch is alwasy in offline mode, no matter what I configured, it just always OFFLINE, so I need your help to guide me how to finish the configuration so that it could be ONLINE.

The connection I made is to connect FG-60F fortilink port A and B to FS-108D-POE port 9 and 10, but as below picture, seems that the LED of port 10 on switch is abnormal, where the port 9 seems normally, is that the reason to cause the connection failed? But 60F even detect the switch.

Tried to connect switch to 50E and the fortilink works good for me.

And I found that on 50E I've enabled the FortiGate Telemetry where I did not enable Security Fabric connection on 60F, so I tried to enable it and follow the 50E settings on 60F, but it still unable to let switch online.

Just got information from below link:

https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-Fix-the-issue-with-FortiSwitch-shows-Status/ta-p/197303

Tried to follow it to configure the ntp to switch, but I don't know what is the port mean? I tried to execute with switch port9 and port10, or even 60F porta and portb but all failed.

In addition, this article also mentioned similar problems:

https://www.reddit.com/r/fortinet/comments/nwulb7/fortiswitch_authorized_detected_yet_status_is/

It's just that when I try to execute ssh admin@xxx.xxx.xxx.xx through 60F CLI,

It prompts me to enter a password but I just press enter and it says failed,

Don't know what the default password of the switch is?

If I can get into the ssh switch,

Is it possible to specify the date/time manually?

But why is there no such problem when the switch is connected to 50E?

Just awared that from 50E I could see the switch firmware version is v3.3, it is quite old.....

And I checked the Fortilink FortiOS vs FortiSwitchOS compatibility matrix:

14.jpg

My 60F is 7.2.3,

In other words, the minimum requirement for FortiSwitchOS is 3.6.11,

Looks like a compatibility issue,

But I don't know why my switch is connected to 50E (with UTM authorization),

It didn't automatically update to 3.6.11?

I am currently discussing this issue with the seller I bought at that time,

But the seller asked me to ask the original factory agent how to update the 108D firmware.
