Passing one VLAN into a separate VDOM?

Many VLANs, including one VLAN as WAN connectivity, are passed to a FortiGate. How is it possible to move this one VLAN into a separate VDOM for dealing with external connectivity separately?

To assign an interface to a separate VDOM from the GUI follow the below steps:
1) Go to Global > Network > Interfaces.
2) Edit the VLAN interface that will be assigned to a VDOM.
3) Select the desired VDOM that the interface will be assigned to from the Virtual Domain list
