Evaluation License limitations

I need to do some testing with VDOMs and downloaded the VMware OVF file for 7.2.3. I used the evaluation license option. But now I am not able to add VDOM beyond the root.

"Maximum number of entries has been reached. Object set operation error, -4 discard the setting"

This limitation is not listed in the regular limitation for the Evaluation license. Can someone confirm this limitation? Or maybe I did not create the VDOM correctly?

Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard, are you using the permanent trial mode/EVAL VM license mentioned here?

https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.2.0/new-features/7398/permanent-trial-mode-for-fortigate-vm-7-2-1

Can you run the following command to confirm?

# diag debug vm-print-license

In case you are using this, then please note that there is a 2 VDOM limit. However, when you change to multi-VDOM mode, the root VDOM must be an Admin Type VDOM. So, you effectively have 1 traffic VDOM.
