Is there any traffic impact when switching primary and secondary Fortigate ?

Hello,

My primary Fortigate needs to be upgraded and therefore I need to toggle all traffic onto my secondary device (which will then become the primary one).

My HA is in active-passive mode but I'm a bit worried that there will be some traffic impact for our customers if I don't switch the devices first.

Do you confirm that some impact could happen if my primary Forti goes down or there won't be none ? And how much time will the upgrade take (from 7.2.0 to 7.2.2) approximatively ?

Hello,

You would need to upgrade the both units , HA doesn't work with FortiGate's on different versions (they will not sync)
